Dead nature sessions
What you need to know
It might seem like late fall-early spring isn’t a good time for pictures, but that’s NOT true. In fact, there are several benefits that the off season give you that the warmer months can’t!
I have several locations that still look good, no matter the time of year. So we will definitely be able to find something that fits what you are envisioning.
There are also less crowds, less fees, more parking, more pivacy, and more unique images that no one else will have.
IF THERE IS SNOW you are in luck. You actually look your best with snow, because it act’s like a natural reflector and fills in all the shadows, wrinkles, and bags under your eyes. I make my own family do winter photos most of the time haha. You just have to layer up!
I also work quickly and we can get it done efficiently so we don’t have to stay in the cold longer than needed!
As far as the background or the “dead” nature, I have ways of making them less of the focus, and more of a focus on YOU. Blurring out the background, or choosing something timeless like mountains or pines or a field will do wonders this time of year.
Below are some images to show you what the off season can look like.
Studio Sessions
Don’t like the cold?
If you aren’t a fan of braving the cold, have small children, or just want a different look, we can also do a studio session! They look amazing year round and give us a lot more flexibility when it comes to time of day for the session. Studio sessions work best for groups of 6 or smaller typically.
Urban Sessions
No nature needed!
If the nature vibe isn’t your thing, especially during the off season, we can also head downtown into more of an urban look. There are always fun walls, doors, street views, textures, etc that an urban location can give us that nature ones can’t. See an example of an urban location below.
