Bonneville Salt Flats

What you need to know

This location is gorgeous year round! Which makes it a very popular spot for pictures, which is no worry for us because I edit everyone and every car out haha. There are two locations here I like to go depending on where the water is, but both are about 90 minutes west of Salt Lake City. Long boring drive but worth the wait! Message me to get the location.

If there is water, you will want shoes you don’t love love because sometimes shoes are hard to wash all the salt out. I like wearing rain boots under pants or dresses, or bring flip flops or sandals or go barefoot. Bring a few water bottles and a towel to wash the water off your feet, it will leave a salt film on you when it dries. The salt washses out of clothes no problem, even wedding clothes.

Winter: COLD, most likely to be flooded, most likely to be windy.

Spring: warmer, chance of water, likely to be dry.

Summer: usually dry, warm and comfortable, cool salt crackles.

Fall: warm ish, chance of being wet, likely to be dry.

And of course we always have the chance of using a drone for some fun drone pictures!
